The official emblem of The 2023 Lake City Summer Festival and Parade was
designed by local illustrator Koko Lee http://www.kokoleeillustration.com/
This logo represents our mission to unite the wonderful diversity of the Lake City neighborhood for a celebration of fun.
The Native American gentleman depicted in the new design this year is Chief James J Halliday. His family has deep roots in the Lake City area. We asked him permission to be in this year’s design. He gave us his blessing and loved the idea. The design is based on photos taken last year during the parade.
You can also see that the little girl is holding a delicious pretzel made by our local Lake City German bakery, Kaffeeklatsch.
Also represented in the design is the kid’s parade sponsored by the Seattle Northeast Rotary Club, the dog parade, the multiple drill teams in the main parade, our neighbors with mobility challenges, and our car show during the festival.
